About LSL"LSL’s roots go back to the acquisitions General Accident made between 1985 and 1988 when it bought over 400 estate agency branches around the country, some of which included surveying operations. The estate agency operations were then known as General Accident Property Services and the surveying operations were General Accident Valuation and Survey. A major change took place in November 1999 when the estate agency business was rebranded as Your Move and the surveying business was rebranded as e.surv. Subsequently, in 2000, General Accident merged with Commercial Union before the final merger with Norwich Union. We created the LSL group in July 2004, when Your Move and e.surv were bought from Norwich Union by the management team, supported by Barclays Private Equity. Since the management buy out, LSL has successfully diversified into a range of other residential property service businesses and the group now includes: Reeds Rains, Home Inspectors, Linear Mortgage Network, Barnwood, First Complete, Chancellors Associates and Linear Financial Services. Our aim is to increase the business’ resilience to changes in the housing market and we are now well placed for further growth by building on our core competencies."

About LSL Careers"In an industry like ours, where the customer expects first class service, the people we employ are key to our success. This is why we set up LSL Careers - to find people with a passion for property who can lend their skills and enthusiasm to our growing company. The property industry is an exciting one and working in property seems to be growing in popularity. With the growth of house buying and renovating programs on TV, more of us than ever see working in the property industry as a way of combining this interest with work. I am often asked if you need to be experienced to get started and the answer is no. If you are prepared to start at the bottom, develop and sit for qualifications such as the NAEA, CeMap or RICS, then property is a great industry for developing an exciting and changing career. However, whether you want to be an Estate Agent, a Chartered Surveyor, a Financial Consultant or a Branch Manager, people skills are essential. Moving house and securing a mortgage probably rank with some of the most stressful life events and we need to assist our customers through some traumatic times. Our people and organizational skills are key. LSL is growing all the time. We now have over 3000 staff throughout the entire group with new positions arising every day. We're looking to recruit the best people and that could be you! Good luck with your application."
